He’s the most powerful man in the world. She is his loving spouse and rock when party politics come into play. Of course, gender equality commands that we present the previous set-up without sexual preference, so we can also say that she is the most powerful woman in the world, and he’s the partner preparing to help her fight each and every good fight. For just a couple of more days, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are the POTUS and FLOTUS. He’s the leader of the free world. She’s his profoundly influential mate.
That last part is important to remember. While terms like “President” and “First Lady” are mere titles, husband and wife are not. The Obamas came in as a couple and will leave as one, the term “Ex” no applied to their politically placed labels, and as a couple, they have frequently shown their true love and devotion to each other.
