Germany Players To Earn 350,000 euros ($411,267) Bonus Should They Defend Their World Cup Title In Russia 2018.

13 December 0

The German Football Association (DFB) on Wednesday announced that each player of the national team will receive a 350,000 euros ($411,267) bonus should Germany defend their World Cup title in Russia 2018.
Joachim Loew and his squad stand to get an increase in prize money from the 300,000 euros they each got for winning the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil, if the Germans win a fifth world title.
“For our players, it is a great motivation to become world champions back-to-back for the first time in the history of German football,” said DFB president Reinhard Grindel.
“That would be a title for the eternity and certainly worth a special bonus.
“But you can feel in this team, that the sporting challenge is the main focus and not the economic aspect.
“The cash rises to 125,000 euros for the semi-finals, 150,000 for third place and 200,000 if they lose the final on July 15 at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.”
Germany kick off their 2018 defence against Mexico on June 17 in Moscow having also drawn Sweden and South Korea in Group F.

‘Manchester United Defeat Affected Us’- Arsenal Boss Wenger Speaks After 1-1 Draw Against Southampton

11 December 0
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said his side’s slow start in games is becoming a problem, after they scraped a draw against Southampton.
Substitute Olivier Giroud glanced in a superb late header to salvage a point after the Gunners had trailed since the third minute.
“In the last two weeks unfortunately we are losing points after a bad start,” said Wenger, who saw his side concede twice in the first 11 minutes of the 3-1 defeat by Manchester United eight days previously.
“I felt the Manchester United game played a bit of a part in the head of our defenders,” he said.
“They were a bit apprehensive to start well again and that’s why it is sometimes not good to talk about the problem because you create a bigger one.”
Charlie Austin clipped home an early opener for the home side with the away defence mere onlookers.
The Southampton striker drilled a stinging shot into Petr Cech’s gloves shortly after, then hit the post from an offside position.
A sharp save from Aaron Ramsey apart, Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster had little to do as the visitors struggled to carve out clear-cut chances before Giroud climbed above Virgil van Dijk to steer home Alexis Sanchez’s cross and make Arsenal’s possession finally pay.

Jose Mourinho involved in a dressing-room clash with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson after Manchester United's derby defeat.

10 December 0

Jose Mourinho was involved in a dressing-room clash with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson after Manchester United's derby defeat.
The United boss is said to have had milk and water thrown at him as tempers flared following his side's 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford, but this claim is refuted by City chiefs.
Sources claim Mourinho went to the door of the away dressing-room to ask City's players to tone down their jubilant celebrations.
City's Brazilian keeper Ederson and Mourinho are then said to have shouted at each other in Portuguese before the situation was defused.
Sources who witnessed the altercation said there was a lot of shouting and a rush of people towards the door of the away dressing-room when the episode occurred, with staff from both sides involved.
United striker Romelu Lukaku was also said to be involved in the incident, along with goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.
Up to 20 people became embroiled in the fracas which occurred in the narrow tunnel outside the away dressing-room.
A police officer is stationed outside the dressing-rooms on matchdays and it is understood police and stewards intervened to break up the melee.
The episode echoed the Battle of Buffet at Old Trafford back in 2004, when Sir Alex Ferguson was pelted with pizza following United's 2-0 win over Arsenal, which ended the Gunners' 49-match unbeaten run.
City’s win at Old Trafford meant they have extended their lead over their neighbours in the Premier League to 11 points, to leave the Red Devils’ title challenge in jeopardy.
David Silva opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 43rd minute, with Marcus Rashford pulling a goal back in first-half stoppage time.
Nicolas Otamendi poked home the winning goal nine minutes after the break to hand Guardiola another win over his managerial adversary.

Sam Allardyce Lands Great Managerial Deal After Controversial England Dismiss

29 November 0
Everton have finally ended their wait for a new manager, with the appointment of Sam Allardyce.
The Toffees have announced the appointment of the former England boss, more than six weeks after the dismissal of Ronald Koeman.
Allardyce, 63, has put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal, worth £9million, meaning he will earn more than the likes of Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone, Juventus manager Max Allegri, PSG chief Unai Emery and even Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane.
The Blues' principal shareholder Farhad Moshiri and director of football Steve Walsh were involved in intense negotiations with the former England manager’s representatives in London on Tuesday.
He's set to be formally unveiled at Goodison Park ahead of tonight's game against fellow strugglers West Ham, before taking charge against Huddersfield at the weekend
Moshiri first held talks with survival specialist Allardyce — who has joined Sunderland and Crystal Palace mid-season in the last two campaigns and kept both up — three weeks ago.
Those negotiations broke down because the Blues wanted to offer a contract only until the end of the season as they looked for a younger more glamorous option in the long term.
Big Sam walked away from any deal, suggesting the Blues simply "didn’t want him enough”.
However, the club re-opened talks with the former England boss after Sunday's humiliating 4-1 defeat to Southampton, which leaves them staring relegation in the face, with Moshiri backing a man he has hailed as "a strong leader".
"I really want to give him the support he needs," said the Toffees owner. "He can go as far as he wants.
"We need a strong leader, he gives us that.
Allardyce has elected to bring in former Liverpool assistant Sammy Lee, with whom he also worked at Bolton, Palace and England.
Ex-Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare, goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson and fitness coach Ryland Morgan are also set to join.
Moshiri had initially been determined to find a high-profile young manager when he sacked Koeman almost six weeks ago, but that search was significantly adapted as a series of humiliating defeats has brought the Merseyside club to crisis point.
In the end, the owner saw his choice as a stark, simple one: Find a manager who can stop the rot and steer clear of the drop.
Allardyce fits that bill to perfection after performing the near-impossible feat at Crystal Palace last season, and the year before that with Sunderland.
The Everton owner had also spoken to Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill, and Paulo Fonseca of Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk.

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EDDIE NKETIAH, ARSENAL'S CARABAO CUP SCORING SENSATION WHO WAS REJECTED BY CHELSEA

25 October 0

The 18-year-old came off the bench to score twice against Norwich City and send the Gunners into the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup, It took Eddie Nketiah 15 seconds to leave his mark on Arsenal’s Carabao Cup campaign — and what a crucial goal it proved to be. The 18-year-old’s goalscoring prowess has seen him bag an array of goals for the Gunners’ under-23s side yet it was a simple tap-in from close range against Norwich which has announced him to many supporters across the world for the first time.
Nketiah’s second goal sends Arsene Wenger’s men into the quarter-final of the cup competition and the Frenchman will be confident of winning a trophy which has traditionally been used to blood young players over the years. A clinical, fast and technically astute forward, Nketiah’s goals against the Canaries will almost certainly see him given an opportunity in the latter rounds of the competition.
Interestingly, Nketiah was rejected by Chelsea as a schoolboy due to doubts over his physical presence – a facet of his game which clearly doesn’t faze him when up against bulky defenders. Speaking about his style of play last season, the youngster is fully aware of the areas his strengths lie as well as where he needs to improve.
"I was so down, but then Arsenal found out I was available, contacted my family and invited me to train," he said.
"Within a week I was told that I would be offered a scholarship. I think it is important to bounce back quickly from disappointment and Arsenal gave me the opportunity to do that."

Eddie Nketiah Arsenal
As the first player born after Wenger’s appointment to score for the club, Nketiah quite literally represents the next generation of professional footballer. It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to label him Arsenal’s future either as his clinical nature at youth level saw him end the 2015/16 season as top scorer for the U18s, scoring 24 goals in 28 appearances.
"My game is mainly pace, movement and finishing,” said Nketiah in March.
"But I’ve made an effort to hold the ball up better which is something vital for the team and that Olivier Giroud does so well.
"I have also worked hard on my heading and have already scored three headed goals this season."

After signing his first professional contract in September 2016, he was included on Arsenal’s pre-season tour of Australia and China this summer.
“I achieved the contract through working hard and trying to keep improving, and as a professional that’s something that I’m determined to keep doing because it takes me a step closer to the first team and I know how high the standards are.”
The future is bright for both club and country with a hat-tri himck for England U18s against Qatar showing that Nketiah can score goals in whatever environment he plays in. There have been cases of players graduating through academy systems and never fulfilling their potential but the feeling with Arsenal’s latest prospect is that there hasn’t been a striker come through like him for many years — and what a way to enter the first team fray for your boyhood club.

Messi Behind Bars,Cries Blood In Fresh ISIS Threat

25 October 0

ISIS has issued a new chilling threat to carry out a terror attack at the World Cup next summer with a sick poster of Lionel Messi crying blood.
The disturbing image shows the Barcelona star behind bars in the latest attempt by fanatics to spread fear ahead of the the tournament in Russia.
It comes after another chilling poster shows a terrorist armed with a gun and explosives near a football stadium in Russia along with the words: ‘I swear that the Mujahideen’s fire will burn you… just you wait’.
Another shows New York’s One Worldwide Plaza skyscraper along with a gunman, a meat cleaver covered in blood and the caption: ‘Soon. Just terror. So the penalty of your strikes will be paid in your lands.’
The message appears to be a reference to coalition bombing campaigns aimed at driving the jihadists out of Syria and Iraq. According to SITE, which monitors terror activity, pro-ISIS group the Wafa’ Media Foundation, published the new World Cup warning in the wake of another recent threat.

World Class Players Who Will Miss Russia 2018 World Cup5

11 October 0

The World Cup brings together the best of world football every four years for the game's most exciting spectacle.
With competition to make the tournament intense, however, club prowess is no guarantee of a place, no matter how good the individual.
The likes of Arjen Robben, Alexis Sanchez and many others are now facing up to a free summer next year after their nations failed to make the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
They are in fine company, as plenty of top-drawer talents will be left kicking their heels next June while the 32 qualified countries lock horns.

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang Gabon
Borussia Dortmund's Gabon superstar was close to helping his nation make their first finals in history. But after reaching the third round of African qualifying, Gabon found it a bridge too far.
Aubameyang failed to score in the final phase, but at 28 he may yet have another chance of making a World Cup in five years time.

GARETH BALE

Gareth Bale Wales 02092017
Wales' hero during their run to the semi-finals in Euro 2016 was unable to help them when it really counted this time round.
A hip injury cost Bale his place in Monday's qualifying decider against the Republic of Ireland, and without their talisman the Dragons slumped to a 1-0 defeat which saw them miss out on a play-off place.

EDIN DZEKO

Bosnia Belgium WC Qualification Dzeko Fellaini
An unstoppable Belgium team in Group H of UEFA's competition saw Greece and Bosnia & Herzegovina left to fight for second place, a battle ultimately won by the former who move on to the play-offs.
Roma star Dzeko pitched in with five goals for his nation, but fell short as Bosnia ended the campaign two points shy of their rivals.

MAREK HAMSIK

Marek Hamsik Russia Slovakia Group B Euro 2016
Having started the World Cup qualifiers in dreadful fashion with two defeats and a draw, Hamsik helped Slovakia stay in contention until the end. A 3-0 win over Malta on the last day sealed second place in Group H behind England, but it was not enough as other results condemned them to elimination as ninth ranked of the runners-up.

RIYAD MAHREZ

Riyad Mahrez Nabil Bentaleb Algeria Zimbabwe AFCON 2016 15012017
There will be no World Cup for Algeria's Leicester star. The north African nation endured a torrid time in Group B and are already consigned to finish rock-bottom of their group behind qualified Nigeria, Zambia and Cameroon.

JAN OBLAK

Jan Oblak Slovenia
Not even the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper's heroics could earn Slovakia a play-off spot, and he will have to wait until Qatar for another chance to make the World Cup.

CHRISTIAN PULISIC

Christian Pulisic USA Trinidad
United States' agonising elimination from the CONCACAF tournament is especially tough on Dortmund's 19-year-old phenomenon, who had previously put in a match-winning performance to beat Panama and keep Bruce Arena's men's hopes alive.
Pulisic finished top scorer of the Hex with five goals, and it is around him the USMNT must rebuild after this disaster.

ARJEN ROBBEN

Arjen Robben Netherlands 2017
A finalist in 2010 and semi-finalist in 2014, Robben has officially played his last World Cup.
The Bayern Munich winger handed in his international retirement minutes after scoring both goals in the Netherlands' 2-0 win over Sweden, a victory that fell short of the margin necessary to leapfrog their opponents into the play-offs.

ALEXIS SANCHEZ

Alexis Sanchez Dani Alves Chile Brazil
After inspiring Chile to consecutive Copas America in 2015 and 2016 and despite hitting seven goals in this campaign, Alexis will not be in Russia next year following a pulsating end to the CONMEBOL qualifiers.
An incredible finish saw Argentina, Peru and the Roja all slip out of contention at times. But Peru's draw to Colombia and a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Brazil consigned Chile to sixth place in South America and elimination.

ARTURO VIDAL

Alexis was not the only superstar left smarting by Chile's World Cup exit.
Vidal, who hit six goals across qualifying to help the Roja stay in contention, could ultimately do nothing as results elsewhere conspired to leave Juan Antonio Pizzi's men out.
It is the first time since 2006 that Chile have failed to qualify for a World Cup finals.

All You Need To Know About "THE BALLON D'OR"

09 October 0
The Ballon d'Or (French for 'Golden Ball') is an annual individual award which is given to the footballer who is deemed to have performed the best during the previous year.
The accolade is presented by the football magazine France Football and it first appeared in 1956, when it was popularly known as the European Footballer of the Year award due to the fact that it was initially restricted to European players. In 1995, it expanded to include players of any nationality at European clubs before being adapted to include all players from around the world in 2007.
The Ballon d'Or was initially distinct from FIFA's World Player of the Year award, but the two merged in 2010 to become the FIFA Ballon d'Or. However, that merger lasted just five years and the Ballon d'Or became separate from FIFA again in 2016, with the world governing body subsequently creating the new 'The Best' awards series.

Who has won the most Ballon d'Or awards?

Since its formation in 1956, the Ballon d'Or has been won by many different players, but no one has been as successful as Lionel Messi. The Barcelona star has won on five occasions, finishing in the top three a total of 10 times. Behind Messi is his long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo with four awards and the Real Madrid talisman is hoping to pull level with the Argentine in 2017.
After Messi and Ronaldo, just hree players have won the Ballon d'Or three times, with Johan Cruyff shining in the 1970s, while Michel Platini and Marco van Basten dominated the 1980s. Franz BeckenbauerRonaldoKevin KeeganAlfredo di Stefano and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have each been presented with the accolade twice.
Among the others to have won the award are George BestZinedine ZidaneMichael Owen and George Weah, while Kaka, who won in 2007, was the last person outside of Messi and Ronaldo to scoop the prize.

See reason why Barcelona rejected PSG Neymar's release clause .

03 August 0
Neymar
A sports lawyer working for the player, Juan de Dio Crespo, deposited the money with the Spanish League on Thursday morning but reports say the payment has not been accepted after Wednesday’s threats from League president Javier Tebas that they would reject the money.
Neymar – who has delayed his arrival in France until Friday – is now in a race against time to register with the French league so he can make his debut on Saturday against Amiens.
He needs to register a provisional transfer by Friday to make it in time to kick-off PSG’s first match of the season.
A quirk of the Spanish transfer system means that the fee had to be deposited by the player to release from his contract. In Spain, every player has a buyout clause written into their contracts, with a purchasing club paying the fee to the player and the player then transferring it to La Liga.
PSG had fought against paying the money as a buy-out clause to the league because it means releasing all the funds immediately and incurring additional tax.
But Barcelona were not prepared to allow the French club to treat the transfer as an orthodox deal.

They are also likely to put pressure on UEFA to fully investigate how PSG have funded the payment of the clause — which they once thought beyond the reach of every club in the world.
