Orezi Speaks On His Relationship ‘I have not had sex this year’

11 December 0

Nigerian singer, Orezi, who talked about his relationship status and meeting his goals for the year in an interview with Sunday Scoop, revealed that he has not had sex this year. According to him, it has not really been easy staying away from women.

 On his relationship status, the singer said;

“I am not in a relationship at the moment because I have yet to meet a lady I like. I have been single for about a year now and I have not had sex with any woman since I’m not dating anyone. But I must admit that it is not always easy to stay away from women because they compliment us. If you are not successful, women will not come after you. I am aware that I must get married someday, but I don’t know when because I must plan things well. No doubt, there is pressure from my father and mother, but I believe it will happen at the right time. “In as much as we have promiscuous women in Nigeria, I believe we have the good ones too. But the truth is everyone cannot be good. Even in the Bible, we have good and bad people. In the church too, we have bad and good women.”

On Rihanna, Orezi said;

“I’m yet to meet Rihanna. The last time I thought I met her was in my dream. Something interrupted the dream and I woke up. “I admire everything about her. Apart from being a pretty woman, she is a goal getter and she has achieved so much in life at a very young age. She ventured into cosmetics this year and she is doing well. I just admire her as an artiste and individual.”

 On meeting his goals for the year, he said;

“This year is better for me because I am now my own CEO, which is a big progress. Though I have been doing things on my own, I plan to unveil my record company in January. So far, I have released three singles and they are all doing well. The recent song I released two months ago was Halleluyah. I didn’t exactly meet all my goals this year, but I still give thanks to God.”

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha Believes Nigerian's Are Not Happy As He Urges Air Force To Create Happiness Department

11 December 0

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state has said that 89 per cent of Nigerians are not truly happy, maintaining that only "four per cent could really be happy to some extent, while seven per cent might claim to be happy."
He argued that the vital aspect of human existence, which is happiness, must be addressed.
Okorocha, who recently created the Ministry of Happiness and Purpose Fulfillment, made the claim when officers of the Nigeria Air Force, led by the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Sampson Akpasa, visited him at the Government House at the weekend.
Okorocha said agitations, insurgence, and hate-speech come up when people are not happy.
He said,
'' I commend the Nigeria Air Force for the good job they are doing in this country, especially their fight against insurgency and currently, what is happening in Numan and all the efforts they are making to restore peace in that area. I’m particularly proud of the Nigerian Air Force.
But one thing is certain, if you observe recently, the level of crisis and agitations are on the increase. While we fight insurgence, I would advise that we also should find the cause of this agitation.
Agitation comes up when people are not happy and the whole essence of life is to be happy. For this reason, I advice that the Air Force too, just like what I have done recently, which most people didn’t understand, should create a department for Happiness and Purpose Fulfillment.
This will help to address the need of even junior officers, who may have some forms of dissatisfaction in the discharge of their duties.
Sometimes, you may think that they are happy when they are not and this sabotages the efforts of the Federal Government, the governor counselled.
In Imo State, we have introduced the Ministry of Happiness and Purpose Fulfillment.
I urge the Air Force to emulate what we are doing in Imo State to let everyone have a sense of belonging,'' Okorocha added.

“My music career is still going on and I cannot quit it for acting” Banky W speaks

10 December 0

Popular R&B singer, Bankole Wellington, popular known as Banky W, who recently broke the internet with his wedding ceremony to his wife, Adesua has spoken on quitting music for acting. The singer noted that he has always seen himself as an actor but would not quit music for it. Speaking in an interview with Punch he said

“Anybody that has paid attention to my music videos would know that I have had this flirtatious love affair with the movie-making business because most of my videos are short films. “I tend to tell stories with my music videos because I have always been a storyteller. In fact, from my younger days, I always considered myself as a writer before I saw myself as a singer or an actor. In that sense, watching myself on the screen was not much of a surprise because I have been flirting with it for a long time. “I try to be my biggest critic and I consider myself as such. That is how I am about my music and businesses. “I feel that the day you are satisfied with your performance and job, it is the beginning of the end because you would start to become complacent. I am always harsh on myself. So, even people think I have done a good job; I try to look at the one area that I can improve on.

“While I really love Wedding Party 1, I feel there were things I could have improved on. It is the same thing with the second part; I watch the movie and I look for my mistakes. I have not even started to watch the film yet; instead, I am looking for where I made mistakes. That is just the way that I am as an entertainer and performer.
“People who know me well know that I am a very ambitious person; I am ambitious to a fault and I feel like I can do anything. I dream big and I would literally work my fingers to the bone so I have no plans to rob my fans of my music.
“My music career is still going on and I cannot quit it for acting. ” I am still releasing Running After You, featuring Nonso Amadi, ‘What you doing tonight’ and ‘Love you Baby’, which was produced by Cobhams. The videos would be out as well.”

Jose Mourinho involved in a dressing-room clash with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson after Manchester United's derby defeat.

10 December 0

Jose Mourinho was involved in a dressing-room clash with Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson after Manchester United's derby defeat.
The United boss is said to have had milk and water thrown at him as tempers flared following his side's 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford, but this claim is refuted by City chiefs.
Sources claim Mourinho went to the door of the away dressing-room to ask City's players to tone down their jubilant celebrations.
City's Brazilian keeper Ederson and Mourinho are then said to have shouted at each other in Portuguese before the situation was defused.
Sources who witnessed the altercation said there was a lot of shouting and a rush of people towards the door of the away dressing-room when the episode occurred, with staff from both sides involved.
United striker Romelu Lukaku was also said to be involved in the incident, along with goalkeeping coach Silvino Louro.
Up to 20 people became embroiled in the fracas which occurred in the narrow tunnel outside the away dressing-room.
A police officer is stationed outside the dressing-rooms on matchdays and it is understood police and stewards intervened to break up the melee.
The episode echoed the Battle of Buffet at Old Trafford back in 2004, when Sir Alex Ferguson was pelted with pizza following United's 2-0 win over Arsenal, which ended the Gunners' 49-match unbeaten run.
City’s win at Old Trafford meant they have extended their lead over their neighbours in the Premier League to 11 points, to leave the Red Devils’ title challenge in jeopardy.
David Silva opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 43rd minute, with Marcus Rashford pulling a goal back in first-half stoppage time.
Nicolas Otamendi poked home the winning goal nine minutes after the break to hand Guardiola another win over his managerial adversary.

''A new tribe can emerge. A tribe of men and women from all tribes, ethnicities and faiths; built on principles that all persons are created equal; that resources attain their greatest use when they are rendered for the benefit of all…''
'' In the womb of this ‘New Tribe’ is the greatness of Nigeria.''
KEYNOTE ADDRESS TITLED '' THE NEW TRIBE AND THE REBIRTH OF THE NATION ''DELIVERED BY VICE PRESIDENT YEMI OSINBAJO AT THE 2017 FUTURE AWARD, HELD AT THE FEDERAL PALACE HOTEL, LAGOS, ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 09, 2017.
Protocol:
There are particular moments in the history of Nations when there is a palpable feeling that something new is about to emerge; that the nation can be transformed.
Often it begins with hopelessness and cynicism. It may be that the Nation has laboured under oppressive and divisive circumstances, living with poverty, inequality, bitter ethnic and religious division, and hate.
But in the midst of poverty, corruption, ethnic and religious divisions hope begins to be built in the hearts of some, a new vision is birthed in these people.
Of the number are men and women, young, old, married, single, united by the common belief that the nation can be reborn, that a new nation can be forged from the furnace of pain and despair, that a nation of great values is possible, that the people can be united, that they can together fight corruption, reject the politics of identity and religion and unite around the values common to the attainment of dignity and fulfilment for all.
They are united in the belief that a new tribe can emerge. A tribe of men and women from all tribes, ethnicities and faiths, built on principles, that all persons are created equal, that resources attain their greatest use when they are rendered for the benefit of all, that our best talents must be applied in every task, that we must respect the rule of law and the centrality of law and order, that none will be allowed to steal or waste public resources, that we will prefer and reward excellence and merit, that Government is to create the circumstances for the happiness and prosperity of the majority, that the life of the Nigerian person is our most precious resource, that we must love our nation and love each other, and protect the weak and vulnerable.
This new tribe is one whose ethos is of hard work, whose creed is that all honest labour is dignifying, worthy of respect and reward, and that integrity is not negotiable , that our word must be our bond, that personal desires and ambitions must be moderated by faith, and consideration for others. And so from the many tribes, ethnicities and identities will arise a New People. A new Tribe.
We are at that moment in our history. And it is the historic responsibility of the new tribe to develop an understanding of who we are meant to be as a people, , to develop the capacity to define our place in human history by reaching deeply into the core of our humanity to find the purpose or reason for our existence.
Are we here to live sub-human lives in one form of deprivation or the other? aligned along parochial lines, ignoring merit and value and upholding narrow identities, permitting corruption if it is done by those of our tribe or faith?
In the womb of this New Tribe is the greatness of Nigeria. But Greatness can only come from the willingness of the few to make the sacrifices necessary for the emancipation of the many. This new tribe can build a new nation. I invite you to join the new tribe

Imo State Commissioner Narrates How SARS Operatives Robbed Him On Asaba-Benin Expressway

10 December 0

Ajaelu who took to his Facebook on Sunday, December 10, to give account of his encounter with SARS officers, said he and his co-travelers were robbed by the controversial police unit along the Asaba-Benin expressway.
SARS operatives are best known for harassing, intimidating and robbing innocent Nigerians
He wrote:  I and my sports colleague travelling to Lagos for AG meeting of the Nigeria Cricket Federation was robbed by these so called SARS officers along Asaba to Benin expressway.
The CP of Edo should look into this matter and find this group of police officers who continue to disgrace the police force.
For 2hrs we were held hostage with handcuffs not minding that I identified myself as a commissioner in Imo state. Every money found on us and in our bags were taken, my wrist watch was taken, my pepper spray was taken, other valuables were taken too.
So many times during this ordeal guns were corked and we were told that they will shoot us dead and nothing will happen. Our phones were taken away from us, so that we can’t make any call, the place was so lonely and they forced us to park where their hidden car was parked.
A brown Camry written police by the two sides of it. From that point where we are, you will not see a passing car approach till it zooms past.
Ajaelu said when they were asked to go, he reminded the leader of the operatives that they had no other money on them.
According to him, the six started debating on how much they would give to them.
He continued:  After about 10 minutes one brought 3,500 out of over 40,000 they took. As we were still with the one who brought the money, another officer came with an extra 1,500 and added. We were now been forced to drive off.
Even when we noticed that oil was dropping from our car and wanted to check. They refused and told us to go to somewhere else and do the repairs.
Ajaelu wondered that if as a public officer, he is subjected to such treatment, he can only imagine what innocent citizens are made to face from the SARS operatives.
He called on the Inspector General of Police to flush out the bad eggs in the Nigeria Police Force and bring sanity to the system.
Meanwhile, former vice president Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has called for investigations into allegations of harassment leveled against the SARS unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement issued in series of tweets on his verified Twitter handle on Sunday, December 3, Atiku, a former Nigeria Customs Service top chief, noted that the allegations must be taken seriously by the police and the National Assembly.
While urging the two institutions to look into the allegations, he saluted Nigerian youths who started the movement on social media to raise awareness about the allegations.
